Do You Believe in God's Grace?

Reading for April 20th: 1 Kings 21-22

And when Ahab heard those words, he tore his clothes and put sackcloth on his flesh and fasted and lay in sackcloth and went about dejectedly. And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, "Have you seen how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has humbled himself before me, I will not bring the disaster in his days..."
1 Kings 21:27-29

Do you believe in the grace of God?

No king in Israel was worse than Ahab. That's not just my opinion, that's what the Bible says: "There was none who sold himself to do what was evil in the sight of the LORD like Ahab..."  (1 Kings 21:25)

I hear people say to me, "Why should I go to church? I'd be the worse sinner there if I did. That's not the place for me."

God's grace is more than big enough to forgive sinners like that! If you don't believe it, just look at Ahab. He sold himself to do evil! No one did it more than he did. God's grace was extended to Ahab.

God's grace is extended to you. God's church is exactly where you need to be.

Father, thank you for showing mercy to Ahab. It gives hope to us all.
