And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts,to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.

Does peace have control over your heart?
For many of us, our hearts are being controlled by the flesh. We've allowed our earthly side to dictate our actions. We are full of anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk. We're allowing the old self to resurrect from the grave and, like a horror movie with zombies in it, the old man is wrecking havoc in our life and in the lives of the ones closest to us.
There's only one solution to this problem. We must put to death the old man with his evil deeds. We must allow Christ to be reformed in us and put on compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. We must bear with one another and forgive one another just as God has forgiven us.
Father, help us to crucify the old man and allow Christ to be reformed in us. May his peace rule in our hearts.
