What We KNOW About Jesus!
Title: What We KNOW About Jesus!
Reading for March 25: 1 Samuel 13-14
Weekly reading for March 25-31: Luke 1-4
Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things that have been accomplished among us, just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word have delivered them to us, it seemed good to me also, having followed all things closely for some time past, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, that you may have certainty concerning the things you have been taught.
Luke 1:1-4
Sometimes we are asked unanswerable questions about Jesus. There's a lot we don't know about him. There are many mysteries that are left unexplained. There are tiny seeds of doubt that skeptics are able to plant in our minds.
However, we can’t let what we don’t know cloud what we do know about Jesus. We know that Jesus died. We know he was buried in Joseph's tomb. We know many witnesses claimed to see him alive from the dead. We know that one of the chief enemies of Christ (Paul) became a staunch defender of the faith.
When our faith in Jesus begins to waver because of what we don't know, we should go back and review what we do know. There will always be questions, but the positive evidence in favor of Jesus is strong enough to overcome the doubts we might have.
Thank you, Father, for not asking us to blindly believe in Jesus. Strengthen our faith to overcome all our doubt.
