Don't Underestimate the Enemy
Title: Don't Underestimate the Enemy
Reading for March 30: 1 Samuel 25-27
Weekly reading for March 25-31: Luke 1-4
And when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from him until an opportune time.
Luke 4:13
The devil was not finished with Jesus. He lost the first round but his loss in this battle did not deter him. He came at Jesus again and again.
What is remarkable about this is that the devil didn't seem afraid of tempting Jesus. Demons trembled before Jesus. They begged Him not to torment them. The devil came right at the Son of God.
We should respect the devil. He is not to be feared as God is feared, but he should not be taken lightly either. He has power and wisdom far greater than our own. We should remember that and not go a day without putting our armor on (see Ephesians 6:10-20).
Father God, protect us from the evil one.
